3G Connection Through Network Extender

Can the Dash work on a pure 3G connection?

I live in a remote area and our house has a Verizon 3G network extender:

I get 5-7 signal strength, but when attempting to connect I receive an “Not registered to network” message.

Any idea what might cause this and if it can be resolved?

Network Extender specs from the website:

The Dash doesn’t work on Verizon. It’s AT&T and T-Mobile in the US. Do you get any signal for those at your house?

Okay, that explains it.

No signal from those. Maybe I’ll find or make a signal booster (:

@david-kool

Dash works with Hologram SIM (AT&T and T-Mobile) as well as with other SIMS.
Good thing about Hologram SIM is that it works seamlessly with their Web Server Platform.

But if your only option is Verizon, you have to work on using AT+ commands rather than the built-in functions in the HologramCloud.

  1. you need to use HologramCloud.enterPassthrough()
  2. execute AT+ command to change the network provider (APN setting) to the Verizon credential.
  3. execute AT+ commands to send/receive message to Verizon

You can refer to the UBLOX AT command sample if you want to go ahead in this direction.
