I am experimenting with some AliExpress tracker hardware and the Hologram SIM, see attached image. Does anyone have experience with this ? Otherwise I will track what I find out here.
I also have another version which is tower locations only, without GPS.

I have successfully connected this hardware to with hologram SIM/APN and send data to Chinese server. Working on reverse engineering the protocol and rolling our own.
A phone number has to be added to the SIM to send the config messages. Around 180kb of data is used per day. This could be changed by hacking the firmware to lower update rates and compact data more.
