ImportError Nova install or update

#1

I haven’t used my Nova (Iota) since July on my pi zero W. So I decided to update the software - either update or install gets the same error:

curl -L hologram.io/python-update | bash

pi@anodize:~ $ curl -L hologram.io/python-update | bash

Thoughts on next step? The Nova has a solid blue light, but it won’t send and reports no operator when queried. Dashboard shows it is alive, but can’t send to or receive from.

#2

What do you get when you attempt?

pip install IncompleteRead

I wonder if it errors and that error provides a clue.

#4

Hey can you try uninstalling the old library and reinstalling?

pip uninstall hologram-python

Try running that with and without sudo so it clears out on both accounts.

#6

That’s weird. Seems like pip itself is corrupted on there. May just want to start from a fresh image

#7

Oh you might also be able to do sudo pip install --upgrade pip
