Consistently but relatively rarely over the past 4 years, the network gets bogged down. I use
/api/1/sms/incoming
to send SMSs to a few dozen devices in the field (in the hands of my customers). The SMSs are typically delivered within 20 sec of when I send them. When the network slows down, it slows for all of these devices. SMSs can take between 10 minutes and a few hours to be delivered. Then after a while (usually a matter of hours), it “clears up” and doesn’t happen again for a few weeks. I’m extremely familiar with this area of telephony and it’s not me, it’s the network… either Hologram or one of their upstream providers.
Does anyone else experience this? I can’t be the only one.
