I bought a Huawei E8372h-608 a few years ago and it works great. I bought another one last week and it doesn’t work as a WiFi modem only a USB modem as a dongle. I am connecting via wifi with a Wemos D1.
Does anyone have a link to one I can get asap that I can use my hologram card to provide WiFi?

I was able to find a GL.iNet GL-MT300N-V2(Mango) Portable Mini Travel Wireless Pocket VPN Router on Amazon. This enabled me to plug in the Huawei USB modem and broadcast the data via WiFi. I thought it would identify it as a 3G/4G dongle but it actually used it as “Tethered” over the USB port. It’s a pretty handy device and I recommend it for a very compact, cheap ($30) and versatile tool. With Amazon Prime I was able to get it on my doorstep the next morning for an extra $2.99.
In my case I connected to it from my laptop over Ethernet to configure it and I changed the SSID and password to what I used for my first Huawei E8372 so I wouldn’t have to reprogram all my micro controllers.
It solved my problems but I am still looking for a cheap all in one USB dongle thing with cellular radio for Hologram and built in WiFi.
