I have a question about LTE-M connectivity in France with a hologram sim (although I think I have the answer and it’s very disappointing).
I bought an hologram sim card a week ago to use here in France, with a sim7070g modem.
After multiple tries, I realized that my modem could only connect through GSM. No matter what I tried, I could not use LTE-M (too bad, this is exactly why I bought this modem and sim card).
Upon having a closer look at the “AT+COPS=?” command result, it appears that all the available carriers offer no LTE-M support.
This is quite strange because I live near Paris and the LTE-M coverage map of France shows that I should be able to connect to LTE-M.
Is there a particular reason as to why LTE-M is not available ? Is it possible that hologram does not have any agreement with french carriers like mentionned in Orange LTE-M support ?
