Occasionally I get SIM failures when trying to connect to a carrier using e.g. AT+COPS=4,0,“Vodafone.de”,0. I am using a Quectel BG96 based module by Dragino (NB IoT-Bee QC96). Strange is, that this error is resolvable by shutting down the module and repeating the procedure. It only fails occasionally. The problem occurs with different combinations of SIM cards and BG96 modules. Is there a chance that this problem is not hardware related but has a different cause that is resolvable? Has anyone else experienced similar problems?
