Unable to detect a usable serial port

Hello, I’m trying to follow the hologram nova user manual to connect my raspberry pi 4 to my hologram nova with a t-mobile SIM card, but when I try to run “sudo hologram network connect -vv” I get unable to detect a usable serial port.

sudo hologram network connect -vv

I updated my APN in the chat script to use T-mobile’s APN: fast.t-mobile.com, but I’m still not getting the network connectivity LED and I’m not finding nearby networks when I try AT+COPS=? I know that SIM card works because I tried it with my phone.

Tmobile doesn’t have a CATM network currently. We have seen some connections but it doesn’t officially exist yet so im not surprised that you are struggling to get connected.

Hey folks, I wanted to update this thread and clarify that T-Mobile Cat-M1 is now live in the US.
